Well done to Aaliyah who has now moved on to new challenges and adventures in our Explorer Section!
The Inter Troop Challenge Trophy is presented to the Scout Troop in the District who has performed the best over a series of challenges set throughout the year. In 2014, 7th Goodmayes were the first recipients of this Trophy. The challenges included a Night Hke, general knowledge Quiz, Cycle Cross, ten pin bowling Competition ad a Treasure Hunt. Our Scouts were not necessarily the best at any of these events but were consistent in fielding a good team in all of the events. Hamza Ali, Boy Scout, deserves a special mention as he single handedly secured the majority of the points in the Cycle Cross event. The Trophy was presented to our Group Scout Leader at the District AGM by the Assistant District Commissioner for Scouts.
Congratulations to our Girl Scouts who came top in this year’s NIGHT HIKE with an amazing 44 points! Our Boy Scouts came join 4th with a score of 35! Well done to all participants!!! The Night Hike is part of the Inter Troop Trophy Challenge so we should be in a good position to win the Trophy if we are able to keep up the efforts as we did last year!
